New Season Update for Spat Customers: August 2010

After witnessing firsthand the chronic shortfalls of seed this season and hearing stories of the dramatic effects for farmers, here at Cameron’s we have taken steps to help ensure supply for our industry. As a direct response to the recent shortfalls in seed supply we have commenced capital improvement on a scale greater than our company has ever seen, with the sole focus of developing our capability to supply quality seed to industry.

A stable seed market requires strong hatcheries with wide spread support. On the back of this development we will require the support from industry to not only deal with us in times of crisis. Thus we thank our customers and ask that the support you have shown us this season continue, even when this crisis passes.

Most recent news, our first batch has been successfully set and our second batch has had a successful start to the spawning process.

It has come to our attention there is a completely fictitious rumour being spread around industry that Cameron’s is only going to supply its top 10 customers. This rumour is completely false. We have a customer base exceeding 100 customers that support us, in return for that support Cameron’s will make the following pledge to our customers:

We will guarantee that all 100+ customers who support us in industry by purchasing spat for the more than 2 consecutive seasons will receive priority of supply in the case of continued industry shortage.

To all new customers we have done everything in our power to make sure you got seed last season. We are investing money now to allow us to do the same again this season.

We will endeavour to deliver all pre-season orders on time and on spec.
We will endeavour to provide you with a product of unmatched quality.
We will provide that quality at the most competitive prices in the industry.

We guarantee we will not inflate the price of seed because of any shortage!
